Pics are shown in the listing of a Chevrolet impala and Oldsmobile 98 convertible with esquire hardtop. The top if made of fiberglass with a glass rear window and stainless trim.

The esquire hardtop deserves a great home on an early 1960s g. They all used the same windshields and headers. Misc: I have a scan of the original brochure and it states prices at time for b body cars, 345 c cars.

Note: this listing is for an ultra-rare dealer-ordered product gm full sized convertibles. The rear securing rods appear to be complete I have a few shippers that regularly go west, east and southeast USA areas. This item is as-is, no warranty for condition or application fit. My particular hardtop originally came with a 1964 Cadillac Alvarado, so use that as your reference.

Or if you had a formal event to attend, the hardtop was much sharper looking than bows plastic windows of your convertible. I don't know why there would be a difference in pricing, if it was related to vinyl tops or slight length . See the black Cadillac Alvarado pics.

The convertible bows tended to be highest over driver seat, and hardtop doesn't have that. The Cadillac Alvarado, series 62, old's 98 and Buick Electra convertibles are c body platform cars. Details: what I have available is a Riviera esquire hardtop, as originally fitted for 1964 Cadillac Alvarado.

Convertible, its a rare piece of aftermarket history. The head liner on this one is black and overall very good, with some wear scratches. So the roof line overall seems to be an inch or two lower as a result but inside its not. I have been to dozens of car shows through the years and never saw one in person despite knowing about them.

Gm dealers would order this for you, making it a dealer installed and approved option the era. For its age of 55 years, truly in excellent survivor condition, but does has some light normal characteristics. Information and photos are quite scarce about it, but I have a collection of 70 pics related to this Riviera esquire hardtop.

This is a dealer option that almost nobody has. In my opinion, they took some design cues from Cadillac's model 75 limousine for the smaller rear window, and formal roof line of sixty special series. Weighing a mere 80 pounds see pic of guy holding it the hardtop set atop your car and locked into windshield just like convertible top header bow.

Then there are two locking mechanisms for the rear. The black is rich and has an area or two of maybe some age characteristic, but no shrinkage, peeling, puckering, rips, etc.

Weather seals appear complete and do have areas of cracking dried out as expected for this age. Options 1 if you are in the Midwest, I can deliver it to for a fee. The brand name Riviera is not related to Buick who had model in its lineup. Pics not posted include verification that it works on Pontiac Bonneville, Buick's, etc.

The stainless is all there and original, not loose. The Chevy's, Pontiac's, old's 88 and Buick sabres are b platforms. The latches appear to be in working order cannot test on a car and have some pitting from age. It adds some serious formal lines to any convertible of that era, tastefully done.

Overall the fiberglass body seems quite solid. Having been stored with a low production high value car like the Alvarado, hardtop had great life of sitting in garage and being covered. I can provide measurements if requested.
