It is so brittle from age, that the wires will commonly break, causing failure of top function and significant cost repair. These harnesses are mounted inside the right and left top pads of convertible top, entering trunk underneath rear facing window years bending back forth as goes up down will ultimately cause wires to break function fail. When replacing your top cloth, never reuse the old wire harness.

Do not ever reuse the old harnesses already in your car. The plug ends connect either inside right and left forward corners of top frame, or on underside package tray underneath rear facing window. Up for sale is a brand new and complete set of convertible top wire harnesses 1961 early1962 Lincoln convertibles.
